MISSION APPLICATION FORM - Costa Rica / Panama 2024

The Nova Scotia Association of Community Business Development Corporations, with the support of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency NS are hosting an in-person trade mission this November 13th to November 20th, 2024. The project has the capacity to accommodate up to ten trade ready companies, from the four Atlantic Provinces, to participate in this multi-sector trade mission to Costa Rica and Panama. Professional matchmakers will commence 3 days of delegate B-2-B meetings the morning of Wednesday November 13th, 14th and 15th in San Josa, Costa Rica. Professional meeting schedule will recommence again on Monday morning, November 18th, 19th and 20th in Panama City Panama. Applicants are not considered registered until, the non-refundable registration fee of $750 is received in full and is required immediately following registration. .

  • Dates: - The specific dates are set for:
    • San Jose, Costa Rica – Wednesday November 13th, 14th and 15th, 2024
    • Travel Between Markets -  from Costa Rica to Panama over the weekend – November Saturday 16th or Sunday 17th.
    • Panama City, Panama – Monday, November 18th,19th and 20th, 2024.
  • What the mission includes:
    • Professional matchmaking services that will have developed a customized Business-to-Business meeting itinerary, specific to your company, ready for you before you leave for the misson. 
    • A Project Team has developed a plan and a detailed execution strategy for these international markets, so you do not have to.    
      • Facilitated group accommodation planning
      • Mission secretariat B2B meeting room    
      • Meeting language translation
      • Participation in networking events
      • Facilitated in-market transportation
      • Export mentoring and coaching
      • Access to the Canadian Trade Commissioners Service in-market 
  • Registration Fee - The cost of the mission registration is $750. This fee reserves your sport and solidiifies your committment. The registration fee is due after you submit this application and you are contacted for payment. The registration fee is non-refundable. Invoices will be issued in Canadian Dollars.
  • Other Costs - It is important to note that registration does not include airfare, accommodations, or meals. Typically, travel, food and accommodation costs for a mission like this (two markets/8 nights) is between $3,500 and $4,500 CAD before the registration fee, per delegate.
  • Number of Delegates per company - There is no additional registration fee if companies elect to register more than one company representative.
